Arachnoid cysts
What is an arachnoid cyst?
You can watch the videos below where I give a brief overview of arachnoid cysts and explain the differences between endoscopic and microscopic treatments.
You can also see cases showing that arachnoid cysts were treated with shunt surgery.
Below you can see the first page of our publication from 2012, which includes a series of 75 cases. You can download and read it as a PDF via the link I've provided when you click on the image.
Case examples video
I have prepared the following videos for the training of both patients and neurosurgery residents. Therefore, some information may seem detailed to the general public.

Endoscopic Arachnoid Cyst Surgery
Below, I have also shown how some arachnoid cyst surgeries are performed.
Case study 1: This shows how cerebrospinal fluid leaks out under pressure when the membrane of an arachnoid cyst is ruptured. I operated on this patient using endoscopic techniques when he was 1.5 years old, and the cyst had almost completely disappeared by the 9th month after the surgery.
