A 38-year-old female patient, while working on a sewing machine, somehow had a sewing needle lodged in her left eye. Examinations revealed a 3.5 cm long needle 7 mm deep from the surface inside her left eye. The patient was taken to surgery using a navigation system. I performed the surgery together with my ophthalmologist colleague. We successfully removed the needle without any complications.
